Coalition's "Win-Win" Proposal Disseminated By Hispanic Link News Service; Calls for Incorporating Hispanic & Latino History Into American People Museum

It calls for the creation of a museum on the National Mall in Washington dedicated to Latino and Latin American art and culture. The second "win" is incorporating the history of Hispanic and Latino peoples in the National Museum of the American People along with every other group's history. The article was circulated to Hispanic publications throughout the nation in Spanish and English.

Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia is the lead sponsor of the proposed National Museum of the American People which is about the making of the American People. Rep. Xavier Becerra of California is the lead proponent of the National Museum of the American Latino which would depict Latino art, culture and history. The coalition supporting the NMAP urges the two congressmen to come together in support of the "win-win" proposal.
