Sam Eskenazi, director of the Coalition for the National Museum of the American People, met at the White House on March 5 to discuss the prospect of Obama Administration support for the Museum project. He briefed Brian Bond, deputy director of the Office of Public Liaison, and Public Liaison associate, Joe Kennedy, about the Museum proposal and the Coalition of organizations that support a bipartisan federal commission to study establishment of the Museum.
With the Administration’s major national and international priorities, it is unclear when the Administration might consider this proposal and Eskenazi was asked to keep the White House appraised as additional ethnic/national/minority organizations signed on to the Coalition.
