The most important American museum that doesn't exist … yet.

54 Eminent Scholars Back Museum Project

Scholars from around the globe specializing in the migration and immigration of peoples are now affiliated with the Coalition for the National Museum of the American People. The scholars represent a range of disciplines, including historians, anthropologists and sociologists.

The Museum and the story it will tell about all of the peoples coming to this land will be scholarly-driven. The Museum would tell the story ensuring the highest standards of scholarship. Historians, anthropologists, archeologists, ethnologists, human geographers, demographers, geneticists, linguists, and others would help develop the story.

It would follow a consensus of their views, and significant mainstream evidence-based historic and scientific dissenting views could also be included. As scientific and historic consensus changes, appropriate changes could be made in the Museum. With force and clarity, the Museum would examine unpleasant truths and avoid mythology.

The list of scholars is being formed. For a current listing of those who have signed on to support the Museum, click here.
